from the home page...

as judged by international jury of the International Sport and Culture Association based in Copenhagen. The 'small intervention, big effect' sensory garden at AUT university was up against green space initiatives from all over the world.

About us

sustainable sensory garden design

Greenstone Design Limited is the international salutogenic landscape + urban design consultancy. A salutogenic design approach promotes well-being by preventing disease (traditional healthcare is pathogenic-based and waits until you are sick to then cure you). That means our designs not only look good but actually make you feel great too. We are an active research-led, evidence-based design practice. Our collaborative and integrated design approach enables delivery of creative, sustainable, innovative and cost-effective value across

  •     dementia care
  •     parks and recreation
  •     education,
  •     health,
  •     urban design,
  •     community gardening,
  •     retirement villages,
  •     social housing.

Greenstone Design was established in NZ as the daughter company of Greenstone Design UK Ltd.  Recognised as a leader in salutogenic landscape and urban design with demonstrated capabilities in peer review, stakeholder engagement, research, planning and design, we are known for health-giving, cost-effective design.
