You know we've been busy when there's no "news" for over a year!

This year Greenstone Design has helped draft the UK's inaugural Health and Horticulture Charter (June, 2016).

More recently, the international publishing house, Routledge Press, requested a blog piece for their landscape design launch page. Our Director, Gayle Souter-Brown wrote an article on the health potential of landscape design.

This week, in conjunction with the NZ Barrier Free Trust, we have advised Regenerate Christchurch of the potential for well-being to be designed in the the Red Zone redevelopment

At the invitation of the World Health Organization's Healthy Cities network Norway, a conference presentation in Oslo, university meetings with big thinkers in Copenhagen, Denmark, Alnarp, Sweden, London School of Economics, University College London, University of Exeter, UK and University of California at Berkely, USA were a real feature of the year!

Meanwhile, back in the office, we delivered NZ's largest natural playground project (20 sites for the Wellington Playcentre Association) through consultation, concept design, developed design and project management.

September 26th 2014: The World Health Organisation's European Policy Director for Wellbeing phoned to invite Greenstone's Founder and Director to address their Healthy Cities conference in Athens 22-25 October! See media comment here

Sept 22-26, 2014: Feedback from the Urban Design national speaker series - "Wow. I was absolutely was on the edge of my seat during Monday's NZIA Urban Design Series in Auckland", and from Christchurch - "Gayle Souter-Brown's presentation was quite possibly the best I have ever heard"

We work with schools, local authorities and health care providers to design healing spaces within the local community – in people’s homes and in public spaces. It takes very little by way of resources to make an enormous difference to the fabric of a community or place.
